OLLI Classes - Furman University

For the last several Winter Terms at Furman University I have been teaching beginning quilting classes for the Osher Lifetime Learning Institute, better known as OLLI.  It all started right after COVID when one of the OLLI staff asked me to teach a TShirt Quilt class.  That went so well, it led to a beginning quilting series which has included a couple of hand applique classes.

I love teaching these retired ladies! I think I learn as much from them as they do from me!  During the month of January, I taught the 3-D Baltimore Techniques Revisited class.  What an amazing time we had as these ladies worked at their own pace, putting their own ideas and creativity into their blocks.

Its always so rewarding when I can see a student getting excited about creating their own designs from the original block.

Here is one finished project and a few in progress. I look forward to seeing more in the near future.

Enjoy!!
